Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Technical Consultant

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Technical Consultant to take ownership of ERP solutions, drive system improvements and support the ongoing development of business-critical processes.

The successful candidate will combine strong Business Central knowledge with hands-on AL development capabilities, integration experience and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•
Manage the full lifecycle of Business Central solutions, from requirements gathering through implementation and ongoing optimisation.

•
Analyse business needs and translate them into scalable, technically sound ERP solutions.

•
Develop and maintain AL extensions, implementing system enhancements and tailored functionalities.

•
Improve existing ERP environments, ensuring system reliability, performance and process efficiency.

•
Investigate and resolve technical incidents, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.

•
Collaborate with internal departments, IT teams and external implementation partners to deliver prioritised initiatives.

•
Design, implement and maintain integrations using APIs, web services and other relevant technologies.

•
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering system configurations, integrations, processes and developments.

•
Identify opportunities to enhance system functionality, streamline workflows and improve the overall user experience.

Requirements

•
Degree in Computer Science, IT or a comparable technical qualification.

•
Several years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

•
Strong understanding of ERP business processes, particularly Finance, Procurement, Sales and Supply Chain Management.

•
Proven experience developing and customising Business Central extensions using AL.

•
Practical knowledge of APIs, web services and integrations within complex IT environments.

•
Ability to analyse business requirements and convert them into effective ERP solutions.

•
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently manage and prioritise technical and functional tasks.

•
Excellent communication skills, with experience working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and external partners.

•
Fluent German and very good English, both written and spoken.
