IVP has also backed Figma, Slack, and DropboxLearn more: www.kittl.com/careerYour role at KittlKittl's marketing is conversion-led - great at driving performance, but no one owns what Kittl is like, how it makes people feel, or whether our target audience has even heard of us. We need someone who can write the line that makes a founder feel seen, and who's restless about getting Kittl in front of that founder in the first place - through ideas bold enough to actually cut through. This works alongside our design lead, who owns visual identity. This role owns voice, story, and standing out. This role is for you ifYou have a gift for language - you notice when a sentence is doing real work versus just filling spaceYou get restless with "safe" - you'd rather pitch the slightly-crazy activation that gets talked about than the tenth version of a banner adYou think about audience obsessively - not just what to say, but where our founders actually are, and how to show up there in a way that sticksYou notice the thing everyone else scrolled past - the landing page headline that's almost right, the caption that undersells the idea, the touchpoint nobody double-checkedYou can't walk past something that's almost good enough - you stop, look again, and fix it before it shipsYou've spent time at an agency or in a fast-moving creative environment - you know how to move from a wild idea to something that actually shipsYou are both creative and strategic - you can go bananas with ideas ,and just as readily hold the line on what keeps them on-brandWhat you'll doDefine and codify Kittl's voice and tone - then write the work yourself (manifesto, campaign copy, landing pages, launch narratives) at a level others can point to as the standardDream up and lead brand activations, stunts, and campaigns designed to get Kittl in front of small business founders and make them actually care - concept through deliveryRepresent brand thinking in leadership and strategy conversations, pushing back where decisions threaten brand consistency/integrityFind and pitch unconventional ways to build awareness - partnerships, community moments, founder-facing events, anything that gets us known beyond our existing paid and influencer channelsBring bold, sometimes "crazy" ad concepts to growth/performance marketing - and know how to make them convert, not just turn headsGuide teams early - in briefs and reviews - so tone and ambition are right from the start, not fixed afterAudit our messaging and presence across our touch-points (website, landing pages, ad/video scripts, campaign concepts, brand activations), ensuring excellence and consistency in allWho you are5+ years (into your career - sharp instincts, real experience, not yet coasting on a title)Agency background, ideally 2–3 years at a creative/brand agency followed by in-house brand experience at a startup or fast-growing companyBackground in FMCG, DTC, or consumer goods brands is a strong plusComfortable being the lone brand voice in a growth-led org - you can push for ambition without being preciousUsed to operating with real autonomy - comfortable figuring things out without a big team or a heavy approval chainSocial media or community-building experience is a plusShow us, don't tell usPortfolio: Send 3–5 pieces of writing, campaigns, or activation concepts you're genuinely proud ofInterview processRecruiter interview (30 min)Hiring Manager interview (45 min)Case Study interview (60 min)Bar Raiser interview (45 min)You'll do well here ifYou pick up problems nobody assigned you. If something's broken and no one has stepped up, you're the person who doesYou'd rather make the call and adjust than wait until you're certain. Velocity is the only advantage that can't be copiedYou want to own a domain deeply enough that people rely on your judgement in it, whether or not you manage anyoneYou'll argue for your position and commit fully when the call goes the other wayYou care about details other people would call excessive. Our standards are higher than most people think is reasonable, on purposeYou use AI constantly and still own every word you shipIt's probably not the right fit ifYou need consensus before you moveYou'd rather specialise narrowly than own a whole problem end to endYou find it draining to have your thinking challenged in the open. We do that a lot, and it's sometimes uncomfortableEvery new hire should raise the bar in some meaningful way, not just fill a seat. We hold to that, and it's why you'll be working with the most talented people from all over the world.BenefitsMaximise your impact: Real ownership of what you ship.
